Coming soon, at the end of May, this is an event fans will have to see to believe!

Starting on May 31st and running through June 4th, 2017, this worldwide event will be held at CSULB Pyramid Stadium in Long Beach, California. Classes are open to a variety of belt levels, ages, and both sexes. The only exceptions are professional athletes (such as MMA fighters) or those who have participated in Olympic events.

Prices are very reasonable for such a big event, with entrance fees ranging from 99.00-136.00, including an event shirt. Spectator tickets are affordable, costing $12.00 through June 2nd and $15.00 for the remaining days of the event! Spectators of all ages are sure to enjoy this exciting spectacle.

Throughout the duration of the event, the U.S. Anti Doping Agency, or USADA, will be sanctioning an anti-doping program to promote a chem-free performance emphasizing natural abilities. All athletes will be subject to a blood or urine test at anytime, and can find a list of prohibited performance enhancers online. Athletes and event coordinators have taken this step to improve the competitiveness of the tournament and set a good example to young spectators.

Athletes interested in signing up need to have proper paperwork in order so to prove their belt status. If part of an academy, the school must be registered as well. Schedules and brackets will be released the day before the event initiates, May 30th.

The World Jiu Jitsu IBJJF Championship will be one for the record books. This insane tournament will provide skilled athletes with a chance to shine and spectators an experience they will never forget.
