It’s moot point now, considering Dillon Danis is already set to take on AJ Agazarm at Submission Underground 3. But even if he weren’t, there is little chance Jon Jones would be interested in fighting him.
Last month, FloGrapping held a poll asking fans who Jon Jones should face next at SUG3. The fans chose Danis by a healthy margin.

Shortly after, Jones posted a tweet asking who he should tap next.

Jones was apparently not impressed with Danis’ bravado. In an interview with Fight Hub TV, the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion threw out the idea that he would face the much smaller Danis at SUG3:
He is a lot smaller than me, so already going into that grappling match there is not much to gain. I just beat Henderson and I was a lot bigger than him. So I think, right now, people would like to see me go against somebody who is bigger than me, just to have a different challenge.”
Jones also had some harsh words for Dillon’s Twitter response:
Him telling me to beg him, it was kind of the douchey thing to do and I felt like I was already in a situation where I had not very much to gain – not many people even know who he is. So, I just felt like he was being a douchebag and I was like, ‘I’m not even going to entertain you.’
And entertain him he won’t, considering Dillon has his opponent and Jones is not scheduled to be on the card.
But if these two did go head-to-head at SUG3, what would the outcome look like? Would Dillon Danis stand a chance against a man who is arguably the best pound-for-pound mixed martial artist in the world?
