New Zealand Kickboxer Fau Vake Dies At Age 25 After Alleged Assault


25-year-old New Zealand kickboxer Fau Vake has passed away following a May 16 altercation that has led to the arrest of four men.

Vake, a father to a three-year-old girl, was injured in an altercation that took place at around 3 a.m. on Sunday in Auckland, according to an initial report from the New Zealand Herald.

Four men — three aged 29, one aged 32 — have been charged in connection with the altercation; two charged with common assault, one charged with two counts of assaulting with intent to injure, and one with wounding with intent. Detective Senior Sergeant Geoff Baber told the Herald that more charges are expected following the passing of Vake.
