The Artista Invitational is back February 22nd with an amazing match up for the main event. Two of the best black belts in the world will face off in a 20-minute submission only match. #3 Ranked Featherweight black belt Marcio Andre will face the #5 Lightweight black belt Johnatha Alves.
Both Johnatha & Marcio have won world titles in the colored belts, most recently Johnatha won the World Championship at brown belt and was promoted to black belt this past year. Marcio has already established himself as one of the best in the black belt division over the last few years with major accomplishments like winning NoGi Worlds, European Open, Abu Dhabi World Pro, and placing 2nd & 3rd at the Ibjjf World Championship.
The event will also include an 8-man absolute tournament featuring local talent as well as talent from all around the United States. The first Artista Invitational Open champion Tainan Dalpra will also return to now face off against other brown & black Belt challengers for the $1,000 cash prize.
