Los Angeles, 23rd September, 2017: Abu Dhabi Grand Slam® Jiu-Jitsu World Tour returned to Los Angeles for the second leg of the season 3 [2017-18], where over 750 players from all over the world gathered at the Los Angeles Convention Center for a full day of exciting fights on the seven mats. The players across different weight and belt categories gave maximum effort to win their share of the US$125,000 in prizes.

The 1,134 fans in attendance and the viewers across Abu Dhabi Sports TV and the 18 TV Partners from around the world, witnessed six hours of the gentle art and were treated to an exciting and high paced set of fights between the top stars in Jiu-Jitsu’s glamour black belt and others divisions.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Slam delivered as advertised, as the skillful jiu-jitsu players took to the mats to showcase what it really means to perform at the biggest and most prestigious Jiu-Jitsu world tour in the world.  

“The first day started well, we delivered a better event compared to last year’s LA event, this is a testament to everyone involved from top to bottom. For us, Jiu-Jitsu is about developing the youth’s mentality as human beings, developing their skills and the community – that is why we donated $15,000 to the Los Angeles Midnight Mission in presence of Counsul General of the UAE to Los Angeles, H.E Abdulla Alsaboosi and President & CEO of Los Angeles Midnight Mission, Mr. G. The black belt division never fails to excite the fans, and the players did exactly just that with fast-paced tactical matches for the delight of the crowd at the venue and also for the millions of viewers all over the globe through the TV partners.

Day two of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam in Los Angeles continues tomorrow, 24th September from 11am to 6pm, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The event will be broadcasted live on Abu Dhabi Sports TV in the UAE & MENA region and 18 international TV partners [on delayed & live telecast].
