Cyborg Vs Ronda? Edmond Tarverdyan Wants It For Ronda’s Comeback Fight

Ronda Rousey vs Cris “Cyborg” was easily the most talked about hypothetical super fight in the history of women’s mixed martial arts. A few years ago, both Ronda and Cyborg were thought to be unstoppable in their divisions. Yes, Cyborg had been defeated once, but it was so long ago that it didn’t even matter anymore. As far as most fans were concerned, only Ronda could beat Cyborg, and only Cyborg could beat Ronda.

Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes put an end to those beliefs in Ronda’s last two fights, but one man who isn’t giving up on a potential super fight between the first and former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion and the reigning UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion is Rousey’s trainer, Edmond Tarverdyan. In fact, he wants Cyborg for Ronda’s comeback fight.

“I want that fight,” Tarverdyan told Ariel Helwani today on The MMA Hour. “When I trained Ronda, I know Ronda could beat Cyborg. I know that. Cyborg is too slow.”

However, for all of those getting their hopes up about seeing what could be the biggest fight in the history of women’s mixed martial arts, Edmond admitted there is a still an “if” in the way.

That’s why if she wants to make a comeback and get one fight, I think she will do the best she’s ever done and I think she’ll be victorious Because I know Ronda’s personality, because she’s happy right now and she has a good challenge in front of her that she focuses on. I think whatever she wants to do right now, she can do. It’s in her mind.

Will the much talked about super fight between Ronda Rousey and Cris “Cyborg” go down? Unfortunately, fans will have to wait and see.
