EBI lightweight champion Jon Calestine was a long-time student and competitor at Renzo Gracie Academy in Manhattan, NY. Now a black belt, Calestine has since gone his own way to teach at Bancho MMA, and although rumors of disagreements between Calestine and his former training partners have swirled, Calestine has (mostly) remained quiet about the situation.
