EBI To Return by 2021, Says Eddie Bravo

Cobra Kai never dies, and apparently neither does the Eddie Bravo Invitational.

According to a post from BJJ World, 10th Planet Founder and professional sceptic Eddie Bravo will be bringing back EBI within the next three years to run alongside his newer tournament CJJ. The move will reportedly take place once there are established champions in each weight class of CJJ.

This comes only days after five time EBI champion Garry Tonon voiced remorse over the absence of EBI in favor of CJJ in an Instagram post. There Tonon placed his thoughts alongside an opinion piece on the issue from GrapplingInsider

Make EBI Great again, I can't compete in it regardless (UFC fight pass conflicts with ONE Championship) but man that was a great tournament and I miss it. They used to have EBI a few times a year, it was really picking up steam, changed the sport, and now where are we? Damn shame it's gone if you ask me. Slap boxing was enjoyable for novelty sake but it's just not sustainably interesting.
