Celebrated black belt Eddie “Wolverine” Cummings, one of the original disciples of rash guard messiah John Danaher, was seen wandering the mats at New York City’s Unity gym this week in what appeared to be a lightweight, two-piece garment not made from compression fabric. Sources say the getup was in fact a gi, and was not borrowed.
The caption with the photo posted to Cummings’ Instagram account read “New years resolution,” suggesting that Cummings’ is either a) full committed to the way of life at his new home gym, or b) has been hacked by Russian bots.
Eddie Cummings is best known in the jiu-jitsu community for his bespatted heel hooking savagery, including major wins at Polaris and EBI. He transitioned from Renzo Gracie academy to Unity earlier in 2018.
