According to MMAFighting.com, the USADA has officially suspended former ADCC and UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum (23-8-1) for two years after he failed a banned substances test in April.
Werdum was slated to face Aleksei Oleinik at UFC Moscow this weekend, but tested positive for trenbolone, an anabolic steroid; he will be replaced by Mark Hunt. He had previously called the positive test a “misunderstanding.”
Werdum was previously under a provisional suspension that started on May 22, and that time will be factored into his total suspension. He will be eligible to fight again on May 22, 2020.
