The creators are of the UAEJJF Tokyo Grand Slam weren’t kidding when they called it a “grand slam”. The event, held on October 23, had two names on it that could have easily headlined any big jiu-jitsu card: Xande Riberio and Mackenzie Dern.
Dern won first place in the 70kg women’s division and Riberio landed a second place finish in the 94kg men’s division.
