It’s a good day for grappling, y’all.
According to Mo Jassim, Garry Tonon is set to appear at ADCC 2019.Nicky Ryan will go back down competing at 66kg and Tonon at 77kg. Ryan will serve as a replacement for his Renzo teammate Ethan Crelinsten who is unfortunately out due to injury.
Both the Renzo grapplers will be coming off of success in their fields, with Nicky returning from a win against Urijah Faber at Polaris 10 and Tonon securing an MMA victory against Yoshiki Nakahara at One Championship: Enter The Dragon last May. This will also be Tonon’s first grappling event since 2017.
