Gordon Ryan just had a whirlwind of a week, first winning gold in both his 99kg division and the absolute division at ADCC and then competing against Rousimar Palhares at the World Jiu-Jitsu Festival. Ryan eventually won the match after having Palhares’ back for the vast majority of the fifteen-minute match, adding another important victory to an ever-growing list of wins.
