A new promotion called Evolve Ur Game is making its debut on April 3, and they’re bringing with them a number of some of jiu-jitsu’s big names and exciting up-and-comers.
EUG will feature an eight-man black belt tournament with a $10,000 grand prize. The inaugural tournament will see Gianni Grippo, Andy Murasaki, Jamil Hill-Taylor, Marcio Andre, Isaac Doederlein, Thiago Macedo, Johnatha Alves, and Matheus Gabriel battling it out in the bracket for the big cash prize.
That’s not all, though. The promotion will also feature a superfight between AOJ phenom Jessa Khan and 2017 Brazilian Nationals champion Thamires Aquino.
The promotor for the event, Hector Vasquez, is a black belt himself, having earned the prestigious title from Rubens “Cobrinha” Charles. Vasquez’s experience in the BJJ world has clearly helped him select some of the best that the sport has to offer in choosing the competitors for his first promotional event.
