Jon Jones Is Once Again The UFC Light Heavyweight Champion!!!

Love him or hate him, Jon “Bones” Jones can easily be described as one of — if not the — greatest fighter of all time.

Jones took on former champion and longtime rival, Daniel Cormier in the main event of UFC 214.

Cormier chased Jones around the cage with a surprising calm. What’s more, he caught Jones wish some huge punches.

Jones, however, had more than a 12-inch reach advantage, and he used it to his advantage in order to land more strikes, even though he spent most of the round back pedaling.

The second round told a similar story. Cormier calmly chased his opponent around the cage, trying to find his range, and landed an occasional hard shot. Jones back pedaled, but landed more shots than DC.

The third round was gearing up to be a repeat of the first two, but Jones landed a high kick that wobbled DC. Smelling blood, Bones went in for the kill, nearly missing with a flying knee. After a trip, Cormier fell to the canvas, and Jones swarmed on top of him, hitting him with a barrage of punches.

The referee had no choice but to end the match. The stoppage made Jon Jones the first person ever to finish Daniel Cormier in a mixed martial arts fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, Jon “Bones” Jones is as real as it gets! Let’s hope he keeps his nose clean.
