Kayla Harrison, Fabricio Werdum To Fight On Upcoming PFL 3 Card

The PFL has announced their lineup for their PFL 3 card, and the main and co-main event will feature Fabricio Werdum and Kayla Harrison, respectively.

Harrison, an Olympic gold-medal-winning judoka and the 2019 PFL lightweight champion, will be going head to head against Mariana Morais in the co-main event of the evening. Harrison is undefeated so far in her MMA career, and only two of her eight victories have been left up to the judges. With the COVID pandemic forcing the PFL to take last year off, Harrison was allowed to compete for Invicta at the end of last year, where she defeated Courtney King via TKO in round two.

Morais is a more experienced opponent, with a 16-10 record. She earned her spot on the card via the PFL International Qualifier Series. Morais, a Shooto Brazil veteran, is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, most recently defeating Bianca Daimoni with a round-one knockout.

The night will be finishing off with a bang as Werdum makes his PFL debut against Renan Ferreira. Werdum signed with the promotion in November following a decorated UFC career that saw him claim the heavyweight championship title. His opponent is the less experienced of the two, but he’s proven that he’s not to be trifled with — Ferreira has finished all six of his winning fights, getting his most recent win against Jared Vanderaa via triangle choke at LFA 74. This will be a can’t-miss main event on a can’t-miss card.
