Las Vegas BJJ Gym Dunham Jiu-Jitsu Announces Permanent Closure Due To COVID-19


Another jiu-jitsu gym has permanently closed its doors due to the impact of COVID-19.

Las Vegas’ Dunham Jiu-Jitsu, owned by UFC veteran Evan Dunham, has announced that it has been forced to close to due the financial impact of the pandemic.

The academy was a regular training spot for multiple-time world champion Mikey Musumeci, who began training there since his move to Las Vegas four years ago.

Musumeci shared an emotional post about the academy’s closure and expressed his gratitude toward the academy and staff for their part in his jiu-jitsu journey:

Dunham Jiu-Jitsu is among a growing number of academies that have been forced to close permanently after suffering financial losses due to the pandemic. Utah’s Gracie Jiu-Jitsu St. George and Canada-based gym Superior Martial Arts have also been among the gyms that will not be reopening.
