MMA Fighting reports that Dern will be taking on Virna Jandiroba at UFC 256, which will take place in Las Vegas on December 12.

Dern is coming off yet another submission win, having most recently defeated Randa Markos with a first-round armbar at UFC Fight Night 178. The fight was Dern’s second win in a row following a solitary decision loss to Amanda Ribas that remains the only defeat in her otherwise flawless professional MMA record.

Jandiroba’s last three fight results look quite similar to Dern’s. The Brazilian athlete is currently 16-1 and is currently coming off two victories (the most recent being an armbar), and much like Dern, she’s a submission machine. A BJJ black belt herself, she’s finished all but three of her winning bouts with submissions. Grappling fans should be excited for this match, as we’re likely to see some high-level jiu-jitsu being tested in the Octagon.

UFC 256 will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, December 12.
