Manuel Ribamar Added To 3CG 6 Grand Prix Tournament

2020 Euros champion Manuel Ribamar is the latest grappling star to be added to 3rd Coast Grappling‘s eight-man Grand Prix at 3CG 6.

The promotion announced the development on Tuesday night, adding Ribamar to a tournament that also includes Kaynan Duarte, Nicky Rodriguez, Mason Fowler, and William Tackett. The athletes will be competing for the $15,000 grand prize, with a $5,000 cash prize going to the runner-up.

Ribamar is off to a strong start in 2021, taking home a win against Dante Leon at F2W 164. A 3CG veteran, he made his promotional debut in 2019 with a win against Hunter Newton. He also competed at 3CG’s first Kumite event last year, and now, he’ll be coming back to face some of the best in the game for some serious cash.

There’s the potential for a rematch here for Ribamar, depending on how the bracket goes. Duarte has defeated him twice, both times in 2018. But that was years ago now, and both athletes have come a long way since then. Might Duarte make it a trilogy victory against Ribamar, or could Ribamar pull out a big victory if the two meet in the Grand Prix?

There are still a few more competitors yet to be announced for this tournament, and the promotion still has a few superfights to announce as well. Keep an eye out here for updates on 3CG 6.

3CG VI will take place on Saturday, April 3 in Houston, Texas and can be purchased via PPV onĀ FITE TV.
