While “Iron†Michael Chandler has made no secret of his desire to take on former two-division champion Conor McGregor in the Octagon, these two will be squaring off in a different arena first: as coaches on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter on TUF 31, per ESPN MMA.
According to an announcement from the UFC, the two lightweights will face each other in the Octagon at season’s end. No date has reportedly been set for the fight at this time, but it will mark McGregor’s first return to the UFC stage since suffering an injury in his second loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
