Mike Tyson To Come Back To Boxing In 8-Round Exhibition Match Against Roy Jones

The rumors about Mike Tyson making a comeback are finally coming true.

Yahoo News has confirmed that the 54-year-old former heavyweight champion boxer will be taking on 51-year-old Roy Jones in an eight-round exhibition bout. The event is set to take place on September 12 at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

The boxers won’t be wearing headgear, according to California State Athletic Commission executive director Andy Foster, but he told Yahoo News they’d be wearing 12 oz gloves, which are larger than normal.

Tyson’s last fight took place on June 11, 2005, which resulted in a loss to Kevin McBride. He has been alluding to a comeback for a couple months now, and his fans will be excited to hear that a date and place have finally been set for it.
