After making his debut under the ONE banner, Mikey Musumeci has decided to stay in Singapore and join Chatri Sityodtong and the team at EVOLVE Mixed Martial Arts as an instructor and competitor.
At EVOLVE, he’ll be training and teaching among the best, with names such as Demetrious Johnson, Rafael Dos Anjos, Garry Tonon, Marcus Buchecha, Shinya Aoki, Angela Lee, Roger Gracie, and tons more.
Founder of ONE and EVOLVE, Sityodtong, made an enthusiastic announcement in a social media post,
“Please join me in welcoming current 5x Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt World Champion Mikey Musumeci to EVOLVE! He has moved permanently to Singapore to train, compete, and teach out of EVOLVE.
I trained with Mikey today and I was completely blown away by his game. Of course, he is one of the greatest and most technical Black Belt World Champions on the planet today. I will say that his fundamentals and technical details are truly extraordinary, but his greatest strength is his brilliant genius mind. He taught me so many fascinating concepts and simple details that left me feeling both confused and enlightened.
Most importantly though, Mikey is a wonderful human being with a beautiful heart of gold. He is already a little brother to me!

Mikey also made an announcement on his Instagram, where he expressed his admiration and gratitude for Sityodtong as a mentor and idol. In the post, Musumeci also tells that he made the move about 3 weeks ago.
