Tragedy struck the mixed martial arts world today when heavyweight Donshay White, 37, died shortly after an MMA fight.
White fought at Hardrock MMA 90 in Kentucky. According to the New York Post, White’s fight was stopped after a TKO loss in the second round. He was unresponsive immediately after the stoppage and required medical attention. He eventually came to and was able to walk backstage on his own, but he collapsed and once again became unresponsive.
White was given CPR and rushed to KentuckyOne Health Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital where he later died.
The cause of his death is still under investigation.
