Looks like Gordon won’t be the only Ryan competing this Friday.
In the wake of injuries and pullouts for the event, Sub Stars has announced that Nicky Ryan will face black belt Gesias Cavalcante in a late addition to their already stacked card. Ryan confirmed the short notice bout in an Instagram post earlier today.
His first match since ADCC, Ryan looks to continue his prodigious run at the highest levels of competition despite his youth. Though Cavalcante, a competitor with over a decade of MMA experience and 30 professional fights, might have something to say about that.
Let’s just hope it doesn’t get as handsy as Ryan’s last grappling match with an MMA fighter…
