Olympic Gold Medalist & PFL Champion Kayla Harrison To Make Invicta Debut

Kayla Harrison, a judoka with two Olympic gold medals to her name, is set to make her Invicta debut in just over a week, according to a PFL press release shared by MMA Fighting.

Harrison, who joined the professional MMA scene in mid-2018, is now 7-0 in the PFL, having finished five of her fights. She became the PFL lightweight season winner at the end of last year and hasn’t fought since, and she’ll be making her 2020 debut in the co-main event of Invicta FC 43.

The bout will take place against Courtney King — an Invicta veteran currently on a three-fight winning streak that contains two submission wins. King has only one loss on her professional record, and she’ll certainly be a worthy test for Harrison’s Invicta debut.

Harrison will continue competing for the PFL when its new season begins in April of the coming year; their 2020 season was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Invicta FC 43 will take place on Friday, November 20 and can be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.
