RESULTS: Ronda Rousey Successful In WWE Debut, Taps Stephanie McMahon With Armbar

Former Strikeforce and UFC Bantamweight Champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey is off to a successful start in her WWE career.

Rowdy and her partner, Kurt Angle, won their tag team match against Stephanie McMahon and Triple H via armbar.

According to MMA Fighting, Ronda showed up to the cage dressed similarly to her namesake, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. She even wore a kilt, though it looked significantly shorter than the one Hot Rod used to wear.

However, during the match, she wore black shorts.

The match was an exciting back-and-forth, mixed gender match that almost saw Ronda on the receiving end of Triple H’s finishing move, The Pedigree — i.e., a double underhook facebuster.

However, Rousey did not play the damsel in distress, and proved she could dish it out as well as she could take it, even against a 255-pound man.

In the end, Rousey and Angle came out on top after Ronda got an S mount on McMahon and hit one of her patented armbar finishes.

The match may have been fake, but it was sure fun to watch. Check out a clip of Rousey’s performance below:
