Royler Gracie stopped into the Gracie Humaita in Hemet, California and to his surprise, received his 8th degree from his brother, Rorion.

The ceremony took place on Saturday and saw 13 new blue belts, 4 purple, a brown belt, 2 black belts, a promotion to 6th degree black belt for professor Omar Salum, and an 8th-degree promotion for grandmaster Royler Gracie.

Royler is a multi-time world champion and member of both the ADCC and IBJJF Hall of Fame. To call him a legend would be an understatement. We congratulate him on his achievement!
