Craig Jones has the jiu-jitsu super fight experience, but competitor Anthony “Rumble” Johnson has the meat. The pair headline Chael Sonnen’s Submission Underground 9 on July 7, and weigh-ins proved that there is indeed going to be a size difference between the two–about 70lbs. to be specific.

Jones weighed in as predicted around 208lbs. at Portland, Oregon’s, Roseland Theatre. Johnson, who used to compete as low as 170lbs. from 2006-2011 and was a light heavyweight fighter in the UFC, weighed in on Sunday at 278lbs.

“Pray for me,” Craig Jones posted to Instagram before the event, shortly after their weights were made official.

Rumble has been out of competition since 2017, following his surprise retirement after losing to Daniel Cormier. Jones is mere hours off a win, having defeated Tex Johnson by RNC at Kasai on July 4th.

Submission Underground streams on UFC FightPass starting at 3pm PST.
