Snoop Dogg Signs With The UFC As A Live Commentator

The UFC has taken an unexpected move by hiring rap icon Snoop Dogg as the commentator for UFC President Dana White’s “Tuesday Night Contender Series.” This event will be airing every Tuesday, starting July 11 on UFC Fight Pass.

ESPN revealed that Snoop Dogg and Urijah Faber are going to team up for an excellent broadcasting team called Snoopcast. There would be a traditional commentary team expected to be provided by an unannounced group, but viewers would have the option of listening to Snoop and Urijah’s commentary.

Asked about his new job, Snoop said:

“I’m a big fan of UFC and [am] looking forward to joining the team to bring my unique take on all the action. Y’all in for a brand-new experience with Dogg on the mic.”

This an opportunity for the UFC to increase its fan base. Snoop Dogg is an entertainer with many fans, thus he is likely to attract more people to watch the series.

Tuesday Night Contender Series will be running for eight weeks and will be aired every Tuesday. The UFC hopes for the best from this move. Snoop said that people should be expecting a brand new experience with him on the mic.
