TUF Veteran Dane Sayers Reportedly Dead At Age 33


Professional MMA fighter Dane “Red Horse” Sayers reportedly died unexpectedly over the weekend at age 33.

Sayers’ body was pulled from the Red River on Saturday. The cause of death is currently unknown, with the results of an autopsy still pending, per WZFG-1100 AM.

Sayers accumulated a professional MMA record of 12-4 during his ten years in the cage. He last fought in 2018 against Tat Romero at LFA 38, also spending time fighting for Impact FC and Dakota FC.

Sayers is perhaps best known for his participation on season twelve of The Ultimate Fighter, where he competed on the team of Georges St-Pierre against Josh Koscheck’s team. He defeated Ariel Sexton by rear naked choke in the elimination fights before losing to Sako Chivitchyan via unanimous decision in the first round of the tournament.
