Due to injuries sustained in the attack Thursday morning, two more fights have been taken off of the UFC 223 card. Michael Chiesa vs. Anthony Pettis, as well as Ray Borg vs. Brandon Moreno will not happen tonight.
While McGregor’s action makes the headlines, the real headline here is that two incredible match ups are affected. I’ve been a fan of Moreno since his debut on The Ultimate Fighter, and that guy has worked hard for this opportunity. Now Michael Chiesa has announced on his Instagram that he and Pettis will have to reschedule the their fight.
P.S. – MMA Fighting also reports that Conor McGregor has turned himself in to NYPD. He is expected to face charges in court later today.
