Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley is impressed with his upcoming challenger, Demian Maia, and with good reason. Despite being almost 40 years old, Maia has beaten some of the best fighters in one of the most stacked divisions in the world’s top MMA promotion.
“I’m impressed with him in general, ” Woodley said of Maia on The MMA Hour.
Still, Woodley warned Maia that their match up would not be a good match for him. He also told him he didn’t want to hear any excuses.
Tyron Woodley will be taking on Demian Maia in the co-main event of UFC 214. Their match will be one of three title fights on the card.
