Former UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw and Bellator bantamweight champion Juan Archuleta are now purple belts in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Archuleta and Dillashaw were promoted by Philipe Della Monica, the head instructor at Gracie Barra HQ in Irvine, CA.
Dillashaw also shared the post on his own social media, saying, “Iām very lucky to have @philipefurao as my Professor. Gracie Barra for life, thank you coach šš¼.“
Dillashaw most recently fought in 2019, where he lost to Henry Cejudo following a four-fight winning streak. He’s earned three submission victories in his professional fight career. Archuleta, who also acts in the TV show Kingdom, has won his past two fights.
