Last night, UFC fighter Yair Rodriguez earned his blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under 10th Planet master Eddie Bravo.
In his own social media post about the promotion, Rodriguez said, “I didn’t expect it, truthfully! We went to watch today’s training thinking that it would be Victor [Davila] who would earn a stripe, and surprise!”
Rodriguez (11-2) rocked the MMA world last weekend when he delivered an elbow to the face that knocked out the Korean Zombie with just one second left in the fight. The two later shared a photo in the hospital showing that they were still friendly with each other even after the brutal 25-minute fight.
