The rematch that MMA fans have been hoping for will go down in November at UFC 268.
Zhang Weili vs. Rose Namajunas 2 has been added to the upcoming card, as announced on this weekend’s UFC Vegas 35 broadcast.
The former strawweight champion and the current titleholder will have their second meeting nine months after their first fight saw Namajunas quickly defeat Zhang to reclaim the title; she’d earned it in a fight against Joanna Jędrzejczyk, defended it once, then lost it to Jessica Andrade in 2019. Zhang managed to take the title from Andrade, then defended it in a brutal fight against Jędrzejczyk at UFC 248.
This is far from the only big fight that will be on the card. The promotion has confirmed that a previously reported rematch between Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman will take place. Two other fights — a bantamweight contest between Irene Aldana and Germaine da Randamie and a lightweight bout between Al Iaquinta and Bobby Green — have also been added to the card.
UFC 268 will take place on Saturday, November 6, at Madison Square Garden.
