Andrew Wiltse Out Of Road To ADCC Due To Injury, Kade Ruotolo Steps Up To Face Roberto Jimenez

The Road to ADCC has experienced another big switch-up with just days to go before the event.

Andrew Wiltse, who was scheduled to face Roberto Jimenez, has had to withdraw from the superfight card due to injury. But it wasn’t long before a replacement was found, and now, Kade Ruotolo will be the one to challenge Jimenez in a superfight.

This will be a rematch between the two young athletes. Jimenez and Ruotolo faced off in the semifinals of 3CG: Kumite 5, with Jimenez taking the win via choke. He then went on to defeat Kade’s brother Tye in the finals to claim the championship title. His most recent competitive appearance saw him take home third place at SUG 24.

Ruotolo will be going into the match on the tail of two superfight wins, both from different Who’s Number One events. First, he defeated Ethan Crelinsten with a d’arce choke, and most recently, he stunned the world with yet another buggy choke victory, this time against Cole Franson.

This is the second big replacement of the week for the card — days ago, it was announced that William Tackett would be stepping up to face Lucas Barbosa after Barbosa’s initial opponent, Craig Jones, broke his hand.

The Road to ADCC will take place on Saturday, July 17, and can be streamed live on FloGrappling.
