Tammi Musumeci, fresh off a decision victory over former ADCC queen Bianca Basilio, will return to the ONE Championship stage on July 14, this time in Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, where she’ll be taking on Amanda “Tubby” Alequin in a submission grappling showdown.
Tubby, in addition to podium finishes at multiple IBJJF majors, including a no-gi world title, has steadily turned heads in the submission grappling world through standout performances at high-level superfights and invitationals, including Tezos WNO, where she recently took an impressive victory over Alex Enriquez.
This also won’t be Tubby’s first tango with Musumeci — back in 2021, the two previously grappled on the WNO stage in a highly competitive match that went the distance, but also ultimately went in Tammi’s favor. Whether history will repeat itself remains to be seen in July.
