Oscar De La Hoya is not a fan of the McGregor-Mayweather fight, and UFC President Dana White is not a fan of Oscar De La Hoya — at least not now.
De La Hoya tweeted earlier today that both Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather were “disrespecting the sport of boxing.” He then followed it with the hashtag #CaneloGGG, a reference to the upcoming fight between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin, which Oscar obviously prefers.
White was not having any of it, though. He tweeted right back at De La Hoya, speculating that the boxing legend might be “snorting coke and drinking booze again.” White’s tweet was an obvious jab at De La Hoya’s past drug and alcohol problems.

Oscar De La Hoya is, of course, not the only person to rip the upcoming Mayweather vs. McGregor fight as an insult to boxing. But whether he or any of the other critics want it, it is going down tomorrow night, August 26, in Las Vegas.
And a lot of people are going to get a lot richer from it.
