Sad news for the bodybuilding community. Former Mr. California Rich Piana has passed away. He was 46.
According to TMZ, Piana collapsed on August 7 while getting a haircut. His girlfriend was unable to revive him and he was rushed to a hospital where he was put in a medically induced coma. He passed away on Friday morning.
Though there were 20 bottles of steroids found at his apartment, it is unclear if the drugs played any roll in his death.
Members of the jiu-jitsu community may remember Piana for challinging Prophet Muscle to fight his teammate, BJJ brown belt Ron Henderson, for $20,000.
