Deiveson Figueiredo To Face Brandon Moreno In June UFC Flyweight Title Rematch

UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno are officially locked in for a rematch in June, according to ESPN.

The event does not currently have a name, venue, or location, but is set to be held on Saturday, June 12.

The opponents last met in an absolute brawl back in December, going the distance with each other and ultimately fighting to a draw. Figueiredo kept his flyweight title, which he’d previously defended against Alex Perez at UFC 255. Both Figueiredo and Moreno finished their opponents in the first round in their respective fights at the event, and they then met in the octagon just three weeks later.

Figueiredo has only one loss in his 22-fight professional record. Prior to his draw against Moreno, he was on a five-fight winning streak that began in 2019. He managed to fight an impressive four times in 2020.

Moreno has never been knocked out or submitted in a professional MMA fight, and he himself was on a three-fight winning streak before his fight against Figueiredo.
