Fight 2 Win is returning to Arizona for their next event, and BJJ legend Xande Ribeiro is coming with them.
F2W 178, set to take place on Saturday, will feature an exciting main event between Ribeiro and Fellipe Trovo. Ribeiro, who has famously only had his guard passed four times in competition, hasn’t yet competed in 2021. One of his two competitive appearances last year took place at F2W 145, where he submitted Gabriel Almeida via armbar in the main event.
Trovo’s most recent Fight 2 Win appearances will be separated from F2W 178 by No-Gi Nationals, where he claimed gold in the absolute division. Prior to that, he defeated Matheus Luna at F2W 158, going on to face Arnaldo Maidana at F2W 172.
In the co-main event of the evening, Osvaldo “Queixinho” Moizinho will be taking on Pedro Dias. Dias will be making his F2W debut on the heels of a victory at American Nationals. Dias’s impressive resume also includes a silver medal at Pans last year, but he’ll have his work cut out for him against the four-time No-Gi World Champion. Queixinho has become a frequent face on the F2W stage, competing four times for the promotion in 2020. He most recently took on Gabriel Sousa at F2W 167, losing by a narrow split decision. He’ll be hoping to get back in the win column in his match against Dias.
In another big match, two-time 3CG Kumite winner Victor Hugo will face off against 2020 Pans Champion Guilherme Augusto.
Many more talented jiu-jitsu athletes will be entertaining the audience in both gi and no-gi matches throughout the night, so make sure you’re watching from start to finish.
