After a year-and-then-some of chaos and uncertainty, the IBJJF has announced that they’ve officially booked dates for the World Championship later this year.
The organization made the announcement earlier today, revealing that Worlds would be held from December 9-12 at the Anaheim Convention Center Arena in Anaheim, CA.â

Worlds was canceled last year for the first time in the organization’s history due to COVID-19 and the related international travel restrictions. Master Worlds, however, went ahead at the end of the year.
While Worlds normally takes place at the end of May and beginning of June, the current state of the world means that the later date makes sense to ensure that international competitors can make the trip to California.
The JJT will continue to provide updates about Worlds and other major IBJJF events as they become available.
