Garry Tonon To Begin MMA Journey

Multiple-weight class EBI Champion Garry “The Lion Killer” Tonon is ready to make the transition to MMA.

Garry, along with his coach John Danaher, are up in Montreal helping former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre train for his triumphant return to the octagon against UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping at UFC 217, which will go down on November 4 at Madison Square Garden.

Tonon has been talking about entering MMA for a while now, and has even posted videos of himself training, but now he seems like he’s ready to take the first steps towards a career in the cage.

Garry recently posted on Instagram:

My MMA journey begins, not a bad crew to start it with. Very excited to help out with #GSPvsBisbing camp #Repost @georgesstpierre (@get_repost)

What promotion do you think Garry Tonon should begin his MMA career in? Should he start in the in UFC, or would Bellator be a better option, especially since longtime rival Dillon Danis is also planning on making his debut there?

Perhaps the Professional Fighters League (formerly known as the WSOF) would be a good option?
