He’s Clean! -Nate Diaz Back On For UFC 244

I don’t wanna take credit, but I prayed pretty hard to (Street) Jesus last night.

Following a failed drug test and a threat of withdrawing from UFC 244, Nate Diaz has been cleared by USADA and the UFC to fight Jorge Masvidal for the BMF title next Saturday. The good news was announced by UFC President Dana White via Instagram and Twitter to the relief of MMA fans everywhere.

The statement released by the UFC revealed that the trace elements found in the tainted vegan multivitamin could give Diaz no performance benefit whatsoever in competition.

“…UFC has been informed by independent experts who have determined that there is unequivocally no appreciable performance enhancing or therapeutic benefit from the significantly limited amount of LGD-4033 that may be present in his system, which is roughly 10,000 times lower than one LGD-4033 therapeutic dose,” The statement read.

Diaz was quick to act on the test just the other day, alerting the public through social media and immediately protesting the findings. This caused a cascade effect for the entire division, with many fighters chiming in and current welterweight champion Kamaru Usman attempting to insert himself into BMF title contention.

UFC 244 will now be, for sure this time, headlined by Diaz and Masvidal competing for the inaugural BMF belt on November 2. Though with the way Diaz can flawlessly juggle three basketballs, can we be really be sure he”s not on PEDs?
