Jake Paul Donates $5,000 & Triller Donates $25,000 To UFC Fighter Sarah Alpar

Two unlikely donors have contributed to the GoFundMe of UFC fighter Sarah Alpar after she shared a plea to help her cover training and living expenses so she could focus on training full-time for her fighting career.

Alpar’s fundraiser, which was set for $30,000 by December 1 of this year, has already been met and surpassed, largely thanks to a $5,000 donation from YouTube-star-turned-boxer Jake Paul and a $25,000 donation from fight and entertainment promotion Triller.

Alpar, who earned a UFC contract following an impressive performance on Dana White’s Contender Series in August of 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic put a hiccup in her plans for her promotional debut, and she went back to working as a barista at Starbucks and teaching jiu-jitsu lessons. She eventually made her debut in September of last year, and she currently has a fight lined up against EBI champion Erin Blanchfield.

Still, despite being signed with the most famous MMA promotion in the world, Alpar still says she needs financial assistance to help her cover basic living and training expenses, including food, doctors fees, travel fees, coaching, gas, and room and board.

Paul, who has been outspoken about the pay for combat sports athletes, shared the news of his donation on social media:

Later on, a $25,000 donation appeared on the GoFundMe, and Triller — which helped ignite Paul’s boxing career — took responsibility for it.

Alpar’s GoFundMe has now surpassed its initial goal and climbed to over $34,900 in under a week thanks to Paul and Triller’s efforts, in addition to over a hundred other fans and supporters.
