Jake Paul To Fight Ben Askren In Boxing Match April 17

After a lot of online banter, YouTube star Jake Paul and retired UFC fighter Ben Askren will be facing off in a professional boxing match.

The news was first reported by ESPN.

The fight will serve as the main event for a PPV Triller card on April 17; the full card hasn’t yet been announced, nor has a location been revealed.

Paul is best known for being a YouTube personality, though he’s been focusing on building a boxing career for himself. He’s currently sitting on a 2-0 professional record, having most recently won a first-round TKO victory against professional basketball player Nate Robinson at the end of November.

Askren retired from MMA after two consecutive losses in the UFC following nineteen consecutive professional wins and no losses. He is still technically under contract with the UFC, but received permission to partake in the bout against Paul. This will be his first professional boxing match.

The match will be eight rounds, and the fighters will wear 10-oz gloves.

Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren will take place on Saturday, April 17 via Triller.
