Jody Clark And The Art Of Jiu-Jitsu

Jody Clark is more than just a martial artist; he’s a martial artist and an artist.

He has also created some of the most amazing jiu-jitsu related-illustrations in the world.

“I was always scribbling away growing up,” Jody told the Jiu-Jitsu Times. “My school books are covered in doodles. Then I studied illustration at university and I work in design as my day job.

“I get most of my inspiration from BJJ. I get a lot from training BJJ on a personal level, and I like to try and show that’s in my designs.”

Jody has been training Brazilian jiu-jitsu for about six years, and currently holds a purple belt.  His art is a way for him to show the beauty of BJJ and all of its different aspects.

I suppose [I want] to show the beauty of the art. I like to try and show all the different aspects of BJJ, be it the different types of people that train or the challenges we all face on the mats or the positive effects it can have on your life.
