Meet female purple belt World Champion who also happens to be a pilot for a leading airline. Her name is Jonna Konivuori, a native of Finland but now lives and works in Oman. She began martial arts training for self-defense while working part-time in Helsinki and soon after found Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
It fell in love with BJJ and started getting better at it. She has since won at several competitions all over the globe including the 2008 US World Championship, the European Open Championship, and the Emirates Super Cup. She aims to compete at a higher level in the next few years.
