Josh Palmer and Kenny Florian Call ‘KASAI Pro 3’ Action

Broadcast duo will provide commentary and post-fight interviews live from Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom

July 10, 2018 – New York City, NY – KASAI Elite Grappling Championships (KASAI) today announces that Josh Palmer and Kenny Florian will team up when ‘KASAI Pro 3’ touches down in the heart of New York City on Saturday, August 18.

“We’re delighted to have Josh and Kenny onboard for ‘KASAI Pro 3,’” said Rolles Gracie, KASAI President. “Not only do they have experience calling fast-paced action and explaining the stories behind each fight, but they are both Jiu-Jitsu practitioners, which will really enhance the broadcast.”

Florian, a Jiu-Jitsu black belt and instructor who owns academies in Boston and Los Angeles, is no stranger to play-by-play. He was one of the first world-class MMA fighters to successfully transition to broadcasting, becoming a staple of FOX Sports’ analysis team after six years of fighting in the UFC. He has also provided color commentary for numerous UFC events.

“I’m a huge fan of high-level grappling and Jiu-Jitsu events such as KASAI,” said Florian. “I absolutely love the organization’s format and the elite professional competitors they’re bringing to each event. I am extremely excited to be calling the action for ‘KASAI Pro 3’.

Palmer, a brown belt, returns to KASAI for a third time, having called the first two ‘KASAI Pro’ events. He is also the voice of Europe’s leading MMA promotion Cage Warriors Fighting Championships. His coverage has appeared on a variety of sports media platforms including UFC FIGHT PASS, BT Sport and Sky Sports.

Also on the broadcast team will be Rob Constance, who returns to KASAI as Master of Ceremonies. The United States Marine Corps veteran and former New York City police officer is a Jiu-Jitsu black belt under the legendary Renzo Gracie.

‘KASAI Pro 3’ features a superfight between leg lock submission savants Craig Jones and Rousimar Palhares, as well as an eight-man no-gi tournament at 170lbs (77.1kg) to crown the first-ever KASAI World Welterweight Champion. Among those competing for gold are KASAI World Lightweight Champion Renato Canuto, Marcin Held, and KASAI Pro Qualifier winner, Matheus Lutes.

Tickets for ‘KASAI Pro 3’ are on sale via Ticketmaster. The event will also air live on FloGrappling. For all the latest information, visit www.kasaigrappling.com.
