The 77kg and 66kg divisions of ADCC have claimed their champions after some seriously tough matches in the finals.
JT Torres is now a repeat champion after defeating Vagner Rocha in the 77kg division. Torres spent much of the match pushing forward and dictating the pace, forcing Rocha to play defense. As the clock wound down, Torres took Rocha’s back and maintained it until Rocha tapped at the end of the match.
In the 66kg division, Tanquinho faced off against the young prodigy Kennedy Maciel, who was aggressive in his pursuit to take his opponent to the ground. Tanquinho was able to capitalize on one of Maciel’s takedown attempts to take his back and earn the three points he needed to win the match and the title of 66kg ADCC Champion.
